How to update a Polycom phone to use Skype for Business
- Put the IP address of your Polycom IP phone into your browser. (To find your phones IP simply: Press menu > Select Status > Network > TCI/IP Parameters > you can find your IP here.)
- On your browser, select “simple settings”
- Finally, select Skype from this menu. The Polycom IP Phone will now reboot ready for Skype.
Polycom offer two different variants on their IP phones, one with the ‘Skype for Business’ firmware uploaded and the other without.
If the customers has the standard version and want to use Skype for business, then you can use the above simple method to upgrade your Polycom to be fully compatible
